“I want people to remember me as a full on entertainer and a good person” – Aaliyah
For the past twenty years; fans of the late icon singer Aaliyah have always wondered when will her music be available for streaming. Sad to say there are differences between Aaliyah’s Estate and her Uncle, Barry Hankerson been at odds regarding Baby Girl’s music. As a huge fan of Aaliyah myself; I would want what is best according to her Estate which is her mother Miss Diane Haughton and her brother Rashad Haughton. As of August 20th, 2021 music of the singer will be released on Spotify according to her uncle but like I mentioned before; the estate says otherwise, here is a statement as follow:
As the family has spoken, I humbly respect their wishes in protecting Aaliyah’s legacy, hopefully shortly in the near future; both parties can amend differences and agree on what would be best-releasing music for her fans that can forever hear her angelic voice on a playlist through streaming. Aaliyah will always be in our memories as time goes by; she’s truly a trendsetter in-game and will always be known as Baby Girl. Continue to rest peacefully.
